Automation work details:

01. Forecourt & Dispenser Automation

  • Forecourt Controllers: Installing devices like the DOMS PSS 5000 or PTS-2 that act as a central “brain” to connect pumps, tank gauges, and payment terminals.
  • Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI): Implementing RFID or tag-reader systems that automatically identify registered fleet vehicles to authorize fueling and track usage.

02. Wetstock & Inventory Management

  • Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG): Integrating high-precision probes in fuel tanks to monitor levels, water presence, and temperature in real-time.
  • Real-time Reconciliation: Automated software that compares fuel sales from the pump against tank inventory to detect leaks or theft immediately.
  • Automated Tank Calibration: Systems that automatically create tank calibration charts based on actual delivery and sales data.

03. Payment & Retail Systems

  • Cloud-Based POS: Moving point-of-sale systems to the cloud, allowing managers to monitor sales and adjust prices remotely from any device.
  • Digital Payment Integration: Automated processing of mobile money, contactless cards, and “pay-at-the-pump” mobile applications.
  • Digital Signage & Pricing: Automated price poles that update fuel rates instantly across the site via the central management system.

04. EFRIS Implementation

EFRIS (Electronic Fiscal Receipting and Invoicing Solution) is a digital tax system introduced by the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) to monitor business transactions in real time. Its main advantage is improving transparency, efficiency, and compliance in Uganda’s tax ecosystem, benefiting both businesses and government. EFRIS is not an additional tax but a digital compliance tool that strengthens Uganda’s tax system.

Advantages For Businesses:

  • Enhanced record-keeping: Automated electronic receipts and invoices reduce errors and improve bookkeeping.
  • Streamlined tax filing: VAT returns and refund processes become faster and more accurate.
  • Fair competition: By reducing tax evasion, compliant businesses are not disadvantaged by competitors avoiding taxes.
  • Digital efficiency: Eliminates reliance on manual paperwork, saving time and resources

05. Site & Security Automation

  • Intelligent Surveillance: CCTV systems integrated with AI for facial recognition or license plate tracking to deter theft and fraud.
  • Smart Lighting & Energy: Systems that automatically adjust lighting levels based on movement or daylight to optimize energy consumption.
  • Automatic Leak & Fault Alerts: IoT sensors that send instant SMS or email notifications for equipment malfunctions, leaks, or low fuel stock.
